I have had a variety of different jobs throughout my life. I realize now that all of them had one thing in common, working with people. I could never have a job where I sit at a desk and don’t interact with others during the day.
The first time I was put into a role of helping with payroll was at a car dealership in Madison. I worked in the office and finished the deals after salespeople sold vehicles. Later, I processed all the salespeople’s payroll. After that, I went on to work at an establishment in Jefferson, WI that helped adults with Developmental Disabilities. I processed payroll for several hundred staff – from going through individual timesheets to implementing our first time and attendance system. Several jobs later, I found the Payroll & Benefits Specialist position at TPCHR. I was the second employee – for some time, it was just Kevin and me.
Many things have kept me at TPCHR but its most certainly the values that Kevin and our whole team has that makes TPCHR important to me. Our long-time clients have become our friends in some cases, we develop relationships with them, and we trust each other.
I was born in Milwaukee, moved to Lake Mills in sixth grade and now live in Madison. Outside of work, I am married, and we have one son who will be six years old soon. We do a lot of camping in the summer. We love to be home playing in our yard and sitting on our deck, but we have a passion for visiting new places and doing fun things. We bike as much as we can over the warm months as well.
